Cooked Radio is an interdisciplinary artist collective based on unceded Coast Salish land. It is a space for people to gather, connect, and celebrate local DJs, live musicians, chefs, and media artists.

I joined Cooked Radio (CR) towards the end of 2025 to document their events. It’s been an honour to witness CR bring together a diverse group of ‘Vancouver’s’ BIPOC artists under one roof: ranging from local DJs, media artists, and chefs — a spectrum of creativity generated as a result of interdisciplinary collaboration.

Our goals are to create a safe space led by the community for the community + bring art, music, food to the people with love. The 7th event was the first I attended, the theme of the evening was James Bond, pairing 10 DJs with a 3-course meal.

Below you can browse some of the DJ sets that feature footage from Cooked Radio’s livestream and some clips from my Hi8 camera and GoPro. Gabriel Lopez mastered the audio and offered infinite patience throughout the editing process of all these videos as I experimented with TouchDesigner.
